Panel on Physical Abuse of Special Education Students Endemic in Contra Costa County

July 10, 2016 @ 5:30 am - 8:00 pm

$15

CCCCC  will host a panel on physical abuse of special education students endemic in Contra Costa County

Issues Forum:  PANEL on physical abuse of special education students endemic in Contra Costa County –

SEEKING SOLUTIONS !

Right now, in Contra Costa County, we face a major problem relating to the serious physical abuse of special education students in some public schools and school programs.

Severely autistic and developmentally disabled students often cannot talk at all.  Thus, they are perfect victims for predators.

A lot of lawsuits have been filed relating to the small percentage of incidents which could be proven in a court of law, but the problem persists with most of the cases of abuse going unreported and often unknown.

The problem has been reported to the County Board of Education by many people (teachers, staff, parents).  It has done nothing about it. The Grand Jury report on this problem, number 6011, will hopefully inspire action by our elected officials, especially if we all speak out and contact them demanding action.

Only public awareness of the problem will inspire our elected county education leaders to do anything about it.  This panel is important.  Please do attend and help.

PANEL LEADER:

Dale Marshall

Former President of Wheaton College, MA. Phd in Political Science.  Highly respected, experienced educator and professor, leader in education matters   and active in many educational boards and societies in the Bay Area and nationwide.
